On November 16th, 2005, Alexia celebrated the Official Release of her Debut EP, Flying Machine. The event took place at the Blue Chair Cafe, a venue quickly gaining a reputation for it's intimate setting and eclectic menu.
The collection of 5 original songs were recorded by Norm Hennessey at his Velvet Audio Studio, and include performances by David Aide on piano & organ, Tyler Vollrath on fiddle & mandolin.
Joining her on stage were Ron Taylor (www.rontaylor.ca) on mandolin and guitar, Tyler Vollrath on mandolin and fiddle and vocalist Angela Roy.
Thanks to the support of CKUA Radio, they performed 2 sets to a full house, consisting of a very enthusiastic & smiley audience made up of Alexia's closest friends & fans new and old.

It was so fun to play thru the songs with Tyler and Ron (weren't they good!) and Angela sang so beautifully, I almost lost my place so many times because I would get excited hearing her singing along... Cory took a ton of pictures and I can't wait to get them up. Isn't the Blue Chair a great little room? I love playing there...
Do I sound a little crazed? I think I am :) I think I should sleep.
Thanks for coming and being so smiley. Thanks for buying my cd, and for asking me when the next one is coming. Thanks for sending your emails and all your phone calls. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to give this whole cd release thing a try...
Love Alexia.
